Cambodia Wins 39 Medals in SEA Games in Indonesia
AKP Phnom Penh, November 24, 2011 –
Cambodia won 39 medals in the 26th SEA Games held from Nov. 11 to 22 in Indonesia.
Of the 39 medals, Cambodia got four gold medals, eleven silver, and twenty-four bronze in pétanque, taekwondo, Shorinji Kempo, Vovinam, Judo, Boxing, Wrestling and Tennis.
The host country, Indonesia, was ranked first with 475 medals in the overall medal winners followed by Thailand with 327 medals and Vietnam with 287 medals.
In the 25th SEA Games in 2009 in Laos, Cambodia won 40 medals – three gold, ten silver and twenty-seven bronze.
