Cambodian PM: Both Colour Revolution and Terrorism Cause Tragedy

AKP Phnom Penh, December 12, 2017 –

Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen of the Kingdom of Cambodia has called on the armed forces to pay attention to terrorism and colour revolution, underlining that terrorism and colour revolution have the same consequences and both create tragedy.

“Colour revolution uses the terms ‘democracy and human rights’ to destroy the people’s interests, please look at how badly Libya, Syria and other nations have been damaged by such revolution,” said the premier at the inauguration ceremony of Intelligence Training Building’s infrastructure in Khan Prek Pnov, Phnom Penh this morning, broadcasted live by his official Facebook page.

Colour revolution is more harmful than terrorism, but counter-terrorism remains a priority of Cambodia, he stressed.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen thus expressed Cambodia’s continued commitment to take part with other countries in the world in the fight against terrorism.

Anyway, Cambodia has another duty, i.e. to prevent colour revolution, said the Prime Minister, adding that colour revolution in Cambodia has failed and it might be the first time for the colour revolution to experience failure, which reflected the strong leadership of the royal government.
