Poland Provides Computers and Office Materials to National Library

AKP Phnom Penh, September 30, 2011 –

Polish Government yesterday provided computers and office materials worth up to Euro 6,825 to the National Library.

The handing over ceremony presided over by H.E. Jerzy Bayer, Polish Ambassador to Cambodia and H.E. Meng Hour, Secretary of State of Culture and Fine Arts.

H.E. Meng Hour expressed his thanks for the donation and said these materials will further develop the National Library.

The National Library has kept various documents since colonial period to the civil war but some of them were destroyed during the Khmer Rouge regime. Up to the present day this national library has serve researching to various researchers and readers including foreigners, he said.
