Another Temporary Residential Centre for Cambodian Workers in S. Korea Inaugurated
AKP Phnom Penh, April 19, 2017 –
Cambodian Minister of Labour and Vocational Training H.E. Ith Samheng attended early this week the inauguration ceremony of another temporary residential centre for Cambodian workers, in Uijeongbu city, Gyeonggi province, South Korea.
According to the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training (MLVT), on the occasion, H.E. Minister thanked the Migrant Worker Centre in South Korea for setting up such temporary residential centre, and recalled the good relationship and cooperation between the two countries.
With the newly inaugurated one, there are currently five temporary residential centres in Ansan, Suwon, Gimhae, Gwangju and Uijeongbu cities, he added.
The temporary residential centres are established to help the Cambodian workers who face residential difficulties, particularly when they change their jobs or work places.
Following on the same day, H.E. Ith Samheng visited the Migrant Worker Centre in Uijeongbu city and learnt about its services provided to migrant workers, including Cambodian workers.
